1^st annual Meeting of the IAO Russia at the Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg, May 2005.

IAO ( Russia ) board of directors, Prof. Larissa Moshetova addresses the 1^st annual meeting of the IAO and officially unveils the first ever future plans for the implementation for standardization of education and the centers for standardized testing in Russia.

Co-Chairman, GlazMed and Vice-President IAO ( Russia ) Prof. Yuri Astakhov and 1^st VP, IAO ( Russia ) Prof. Eugeny A. Egorov, are invited to address the IFOS (International Federation of Ophthalmic Societies) regarding their representation of Russia as the voting member, September, 2005.

11^th annual White Nights Congress of Ophthalmology at the Military Medical Hospital in St. Petersburg.

Official delegation of the board of directors of the IAO ( Russia ) visit Washington DC, at the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

IAO ( Russia ) is officially accepted as a Voting Member into IFOS – International Federation of Ophthalmic Societies – the world body representing Ophthalmology and Blinding Diseases.

Russia, through the IAO, is now officially recognized and represented by the international ophthalmic and medical community.

GlazMed and IAO ( Russia ) Gala at the Marble Palace in St. Petersburg – celebration of Hermitage acquisition of Frederick hart sculpture.

JUNE, 2005:  Official Unveiling and Reception at the Hermitage Museum : First American artist, Frederick Hart, renowned award winning sculptor, work entitled "Songs of Grace" is accepted as a new acquisition into the permanent collection of the Hermitage Museum , a first in world art history and the first artist to be included into their prestigious collection since the revolution. Deemed by the museum's director to be a benchmark in US and Russian cultural partnerships.

GlazMed organizes the celebration of music and the arts at the Marble Palace in St. Petersburg .

GlazMed hosts the Hermitage Preview unveiling of Frederick Hart's Songs of Grace at the embassy of the Russian Federation in April.

GlazMed hosts a delegation of 40 art collectors and distinguished individuals from across the United States, to visit St. Petersburg.
